EDITORIAL

This issue once again carries the  Pickering Town Council’s Annual Report.

          By using the Beacon, the Town Council is able to have its Report delivered to all households and businesses in the Town, and keep the cost, part of our council tax, as low as possible.

          Because of space constraint, a few  articles have had to be held over until the Autumn Issue, but they will be published!

          There are a number of different organisations within Pickering, that are asking for volunteers. Many of these  organisations rely on volunteers to keep providing their particular service to Pickering. If you have some ‘free time’, and  you would like to contribute, why not give them a call. All have contact numbers in their articles or are advertising their requirements elsewhere, but be assured your offer of help will be appreciated!
