The spring programme was full with some excellent presentations by some brilliant photographers, some keen competitions and an evening where we reviewed the images accepted in the PAGB exhibition. This represents the ‘cream’ of British club photography as each federation puts forward around 30 images and then a panel selects the ‘best’. The evening was interactive with plenty of discussion and it just demonstrated that one man’s meat is another man’s poison!. In June, from the 12th to the 20th we have our annual exhibition at the Sutton Bank Visitors Centre. We hope to have examples of work from all members, so this should give you a good idea of what our members can do. The exhibition should give you an excuse for getting out to Sutton Bank to enjoy the countryside and then the café. Our summer programme is less formal, with our creative and AV competitions and members evenings (at one of these a member will be demonstrating 3D photography and will show a 3D AV – a bit different). For full details of these events and the rest of the programme check out the clubs website www.kirkbymoorside-camera-club.co.uk If any of this interests you, come along to one of our meetings at 7.30 pm. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the British Legion Club, Kirkbymoorside where you will find a group of friendly people, of all abilities and experience, with a common interest.
