First of all, may I thank you for your generous donations through the envelopes.

            I am just very sorry that the Town Council did not support the effort as well.  I have since resigned as after several years of good service, I had expected more support from them.

            However, the Committee may be split now as some of the businesses are taking up the challenge of the main town lights.  I had made it clear that I would resign from that group this time, but I will remain in an advisory capacity to the main town illuminations.

            I would like to thank the Forestry Commission for the wonderful Tree, F&B Haulage and Brian Hallam for transporting it, Paul Sawdon and Ken for all their hard work, Andy Winship for the electricals, Tony Fields, the Lights Committee and anyone else who I may have unintentionally omitted.

Dance-Tastic did a wonderful job for us at the Switch On and it was lovely to see Ross Davison’s Tractor light. Ross of course had the honour of accompanying Father Christmas in his coach drawn by Wallace & Gromit. Thank you all again
