I have noticed that over the years, numbers attending many of the groups at the centre are slowly declining, as we sadly lose many of our friends.

                I want to encourage full usage of this lovely Centre, built for the benefit of the people of Pickering and surrounding    villages.

                The choice of activities at the centre vary from Yoga, reading groups, luncheon clubs, country market, coffee mornings etc,  Please drop into the centre for a leaflet.

                We would especially like to promote our Wednesday Club.  We want to increase our membership, perhaps you and your friends would like to join us? The Club is open to anyone of 40+ years with no upper age limit.

                Admission is £2 and this includes a cup of tea/coffee and a biscuit. Table top sales, cake stalls and ‘bring and buys’ held throughout the year help towards the expense of speakers, trips out and Christmas parties.

                We restart the Wednesday Club after our Summer break on 1st September at 2.00pm. Our autumn programme includes:

A trip to Whitby  •  Ryedale Animal Rescue Talk  •  Members Entertain  •  Chelsea Flower Show on slides  •  Christmas Prize Quiz  •  Christmas Dinner  •  Christmas Tea Party

                Is there a hobby group you would like to see started in the centre?  Hiring WRVS Hungate Centre is very easy just call 01751 472681. The Centre is bright, clean and warm with good kitchen facilities and a small car park. We are especially looking to fill our room spaces on Monday and Friday evenings and Sunday all day.
